Error While Starting Aurea Insight Agent Configured With SAG UM

Overview

If Insight Agents are configured with SAG Universal Messaging then skipping a few steps can prevent the Insight Agents from starting and throwing JMSExceptions or Licensing errors such as

<msg>LICENSE0000: Insight Agent is not licensed.</msg>

or 

...
<msgid>APPL0125</msgid><ex>java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError</ex>
<msg>APPL0125: Failed to start java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/jms/JMSException
...

 

Information

If you're getting a JMSException such as <msg>APPL0125: Failed to start java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/jms/JMSException then you should refer to Configure Insight Server to Use the SAG Universal Messaging on Page 37 in Insight Server Installation Guide 2021R1.pdf in Worx.

The licensing error(<msg>LICENSE0000: Insight Agent is not licensed.</msg>) can happen even when you have a valid license. Other conditions might be that the Insight Agents are on different machines than the Server while having access to each other and not being part of a cluster. In this case you should refer to Post Initial Configuration on Page 77 of the same document linked above, and you may also need to update the license.
